My name is Rannveig and I would like to give you an insight into my journey and tell you how I ended up where I am today. As for most people, life is a series of challenges and lessons, some easy and full of joy, others challenging and painful.
The beginning
I was born in Reykjavik, Iceland in 1982 and didn’t pay too much attention to nutrition and wellness in my childhood and teenage years. Still, I was overall healthy and active and just kept going.
I went to learn physiotherapy and after graduating in spring 2007, I started working for an association providing therapy for people with arthritis. I worked there for eight years and then transferred to a private company where I continued working with people with arthritis.
I have always had the need to learn more and felt I needed more tools. I took a lot of courses in the first years practising, adding for example Stott Pilates and Acupuncture to my portfolio, but these are very good supplementary tools to physiotherapy.
I have been very fortunate in my adult life and for that I am very grateful. I met my husband Jón just before Christmas 2009 and our journey has been remarkable, but like for all couples, with its ups and downs. We have three kids 12, 8 and 4 years old, and they have proven to be my biggest teachers in life. When I became a mum, I believe my journey of self-awareness and development began. Having children forces you to be accountable for other human beings and in doing so, you realise what you are made of.
When I became a mum, I found it hard to prioritise time for myself. I struggled to balance parenting with work, while also trying to be a good wife, daughter, sister, and a friend. The first years of motherhood were especially challenging for me.
My adventure begins
When I was pregnant with my second child, we moved to Beijing, China. After 18 incredible months in China, we moved back to Iceland, and I quickly found myself back on the same invisible treadmill, working, taking care of two kids, our home and then I also went back to university taking courses in Public health, acquiring a diploma.
After having my third child and moving abroad again, this time to the UK with my family, I hit rock bottom. I realised I was actually struggling with myself, old traumas were resurfacing and affecting me deeply. Eventually, I sought help, started therapy, and began the slow but important process of working on myself.
I started studying health coaching at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in fall 2024 and graduated in the fall of 2025. I have been gradually discovering in my own sense how all dimensions of life need to be in harmony so you as a person can feel your best. It is definitely not the same recipe for all, we are all unique, with different needs and we all have a unique story to tell that shapes us in our daily lives. In 2025 we relocated again and this time to Brussels, Belgium.
Today
What I know now is that health is not a destination, and it is rarely a straight line. It is something you come back to, again and again, with different needs at different points in your life. That is what I want to help women do, not overhaul everything, but find a way back to themselves that actually sticks.
With the launch of this website I want to create a space on the internet where women can get inspiration, find motivation and useful tools to move forward on their wellness journey.
If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you. You can book a free session to talk through where you are and what kind of support might help, no pressure, no obligation. Or if you’d like to get a sense of where your health and wellbeing stand right now, you can take the free Wellness Score assessment. It takes about five minutes and gives you a personalised overview by email.
With care,
Rannveig
